Our franchisees come from all kinds of backgrounds. See for yourself why they enjoy being part of the Snap Fitness team and how being their own boss has positively impacted their lives.
Azim Punjani | Richmond Snap Fitness Richmond

For the past three and a half years, Azim has been growing the Snap Fitness family. He took over his first club, Snap Fitness Richmond, in 2011. Since then, he grew his membership base from 177 to over 600 memberships.

A solid personal training team is what really drives success in his clubs. “It is all about teamwork and the right system which actually works,” said Azim. He and his staff make sure that everyone who walks through their doors is attended to and informed about current club offerings.

Azim attests the key to running a successful club is providing great customer service, proven results, and teamwork. “Know the Snap Fitness concept and believe in it,” said Azim. He also says that knowing your members’ names improves member retention.

Recently, Azim became the new owner of Snap Fitness Pecan Grove. He plans on growing the club’s community towards a result-driven environment as well with the help of his amazing staff, especially his manager, Kevin.

Eric T.Snap Fitness Mahwah

Just over two years ago, Eric became the new owner of Snap Fitness club in Mahwah, NJ. He has experienced great success in business with thorough attention to customer service and the results-driven environment of the club.

From college students to folks who were in college during WWII, Snap Fitness Mahwah has an extremely diverse member base. All kinds of people, including professional athletes, housewives, doctors, and Wall Street executives, walk through the doors.

It has been a rewarding experience for Eric to see members turn their lives around. One of his proudest moments was seeing a member lose 70 pounds, enabling them to discontinue their blood pressure medication. He has also seen a member walk on the treadmill for an hour some time after a doctor told them they would never walk again.

Eric says the club thrives off referrals, which means he and his staff put customer satisfaction first. To be a successful club owner, Eric says, “The more you are at the club, the better you will do.” Instead of focusing on making money, he advises other owners to focus on providing a good experience for customers. “Concentrate on delivering the best product possible and keeping your members as happy as possible, and the money will come in,” said Eric.

Keep up the great work, Eric!

Ed F.Snap Fitness Ringwood

Ed is a proud owner of two Snap Fitness locations. When he opened his first location, Ringwood, NJ, over five years ago, it only took six months to have enough members to break-even. His second club, Stony Point, NY, opened a year later, which quickly became successful as well.

Both clubs attract members of all ages who want a great cardio and strength workout in a non-intimidating, crowd-free environment. The size of the two locations are much more roomier than what their competitors offer. Ed said keeping his clubs “ridiculously clean” and maintaining updated equipment is key to running successful clubs.

He researches what his nearby competitors don’t offer and then implements those missing pieces into his clubs to stand out. “It’s critical to know your competition and create a definable competitive advantage,” Ed said. He makes sure to have excellent strength training equipment available, especially because he found that member who strength train are more loyal than cardio-only members.

Aside from providing excellent service in his clubs, Ed and his staff have been making an impact in their community. “We are very involved in town organizations and clubs with donations and free passes,” said Ed. Getting involved in the community and being active on Facebook have proven to be effective marketing strategies to build awareness around the two clubs.

“I’m extremely proud of the members who have literally turned their lives around because of Snap Fitness,” said Ed. We are proud of Ed for representing what #SnapNation is all about!
